Brody Dalle is shipwrecked on the English coastline, but she seems pretty alright with it.

Two friends of mine started a very cool party in downtown Phoenix last year called Adult Swim. Jared Allan & William Reed are two of the biggest movers & shakers in Phoenix nightlife, and last year they decided to turn their sights on the daytime as well. Originally held at the historic San Carlos, the [...]

In case the blog name didn’t give it away, I’m a crazy Blur fan. They are probably my favorite band of all time. Imagine my delight when I heard Graham would be welcomed back into the fold and they’d reunite for live shows for the first time in nearly 8 years! Ecstatic doesn’t quite cover [...]

I was recently asked to participate in a sort of roundtable interview with electro ragers DIOYY. It was a bit last minute, as you can tell by my rather pedestrian (read: crap) questions, but worthwhile nonetheless! The other blogs present were Stoney Roads, Not Many Experts and Ears of the Beholder. As I mentioned a [...]

Yet another pairing that would never have occurred to me! A little birdy slipped this lovely remix to me, and I’m told it’s so new that this will be its first introduction to the world. You never know what Anthony Gonzalez will do in a remix - sometimes he makes it a little dancey, sometimes [...]

I was listening to Polly Scattergood the other day, and ‘Unforgiving Arms’ came on. I really love the song, but it suddenly occurred to me that Polly sounded like someone else. I couldn’t quite pinpoint who, but I definitely got a familiar vibe from her vocals. It all came together when I read a post [...]
My boys played Glasto this passed weekend to considerable acclaim! No surprise there! I had every confidence they’d rule the school. These videos are bound to go down at any minute, so watch them while you can. I’d post the BBC player but it’s regional, sadly, so can’t be viewed outside the UK.
And for nostalgia’s [...]
Moby is releasing his new album today, titled ‘Wait For Me’. The David Lynch-inspired record has a video courtesy of the same auteur which you can check out at the Sundance Channel’s SUNfiltered blog here. Sundance also has an exclusive remix of ‘Pale Horses’ by longtime Goldfrapp/Verve/Coldplay collaborator Davide Rossi which you can find here. [...]
Attention Londoners: La Roux will be playing a free gig at HMV Forum tomorrow (Weds July 1st). It’s a first come, first served type of thing, so click on this link ASAP and get yourself over there tomorrow so you can marvel at her gravity-defying hair acrobatics! Her label folks say you should be there [...]
What can one say about the latest from Lily? This radio-friendly version is quite entertaining, substituting comedic pratfall sound effects for the song’s chorus, while the video features Miss Allen wandering around turning the entire world into her own private Photoshop. Goes a bit crazy with the smudge, though.
Very few things can force me to watch Jimmy Kimmel. I actually find myself feeling embarrassed for him as he tries to be funny and…well, isn’t. But he does have nice ‘gets’ for his musical guests, and last week was no exception. For Miss Natasha Kahn, I’ll watch just about anything. Every time I see [...]
