What about Treasure fingers walking on a dream remix? This is a great compilation though…that lifelike remix is something else

Thank you for reminding me of that Sebastian remix! That was a good one. I still stand by my original assessment though. I think this year was pretty so-so compared to years past. Bloghouse and Ed Banger seemed to completely oversaturate the remix world.

I agree that the Twelves/Black Kids remix ruled. I also love their remix of “Rich Girls.”

And as far as the Kills are concerned, Sebastien’s “Cheap and Cheerful” remix is the real killer. (Don’t know when it came out though).

I’ve thought this year was a great year for remixes. Pretty much everything by Bag Raiders was great. A lot of fun Diplo too. There’s the Punks Jump Up remix of Lykke Li. I think my fave of the year though had to be the NeoTokyo Chainsaw remix of Foals – Electric Bloom. So sick it hurts!

great list! I do like the PSB remix of ‘kids’ a lot more than all the others… it’s so classic.

I’m so not into Crystal Castles, but I happen to think ‘Crimewave’ is pretty good. But that LA Riots mix…it’s super meh for me. They kinda ruin what was good about the original. LA Riots are, for me, a prime example of that whole Ed Banger/nu-rave mentality gone wild. Just don’t dig their stuff.

And funny enough, that Twelves remix of Black Kids might be the first one they’ve done I wasn’t so into. I’ll re-listen to that one though.

Where’s the LA Riots remix of Crystal Castles Crimewave? Or The Twelves remix of The Black Kids I’m Not Going To Teach yadda yadda?

Despite these questionable omissions, I still consider this to be a fine post :)
