Monday Morning Roundup

Giving a little blog love is hardly my original idea, but after reading Linda’s roundup on Speed of Dark, I thought I’d participate in spreading the love to my fellow bloggers on a more regular basis.
If you’re a Sci Fi nerd like me, Matthew over at Song By Toad just created your dream podcast, titled The Spacecast. He prefaced it with a post devoted to the questionable musical indulgences of several Sci Fi actors, including William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.

Remember that infamous 1.6 that Pitchfork’s Ian Cohen awarded to the Airborne Toxic Event? Mark over at Rock Sellout has an interview with the band where they address the issue as well as several others.

Ceci over at I Am The Crime makes a case for the music of Miss Resident Evil herself, Milla Jovovich. Included amongst original tunes is a cover of ‘Satellite of Love’ by Lou Reed.

Vic over at Muruch posted an interesting cover of Kylie Minogue by none other than Jose Gonzalez on Friday, but I somehow missed it. Don’t make the same mistake!

Are you a lover of indie/folk music? Tim over at The Blue Walrus has a great list of the Top 5 folk/indie bands to watch for 2009.

Pop Go The ’80s – the definitive blog devoted to the era, IMO – tackles novelty tunes in the form of ‘Pac-Man Fever’. Was this the beginning of 8-Bit?
