New Kills Video ‘Black Balloon’

I thought The Kills’ Midnight Boom was an under appreciated gem last year. It seemed it was too easily dismissed as being somehow insubstantial in comparison to other releases, yet I thought it was easily one of their best albums (and definitely one of the better albums released last year).
‘Black Balloon’ was easily one of my favorite tracks from that effort. The whole track is carried by handclaps and Mosshart’s cigarettes-and-alcohol-soaked voice. She can sound both abrasive and alluring simultaneously, and that really sums up The Killls’ entire sound, to be honest.
Oh and Allison turns into a vampire in this video. Yeah.
