Great Northern prep new album
It’s really hard to believe that Trading Twilight for Daylight has been out for 2 years now. I was really fond of their debut, and I still get decent mileage out of it even now. It’s a simple but lovely little record.
Based on the sound of first single ‘Houses’, it looks like album #2 – Remind Me Where The Light Is due out April 28th on Eenie Meenie – will be in a similar vein. They’ve teamed with producer Michael Patterson, who previously worked with Beck, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club & She Wants Revenge, apparently in an effort to create a more guitar-driven sound. They’ve also promised a ‘darker’ record. Ahh but let’s face it, GN rise and fall on Rachel Stolte’s siren’s call, and as long as that’s intact I’ll likely be a fan of this new record.
