Remix Recap
People send me a lot of remixes. A LOT. More than I could ever hope to listen to. I suppose it’s a sort of prerequisite for being a blogger these days, after all, remixes are a significant attention-grabber for Blogland. With the sheer number being produced, it goes without saying that a lot of them fall into the not-so-great category.

Still, I receive a lot of really good mixes. The trouble is, I don’t feel I can justify writing 5 or 6 entires a week where I simply say ‘Hey, listen to this great remix!’. No matter how good a remix is (unless it’s an absolute mind-blower) I can’t muster up 5 paragraphs of reflection on it. I suppose I’d make a really crap press agent, since that’s a big part of their job. Such is life.
I figured the best solution was to aggregate them all in one place. That way I have my own mini-Hype Machine! Or something. How is one entry that doesn’t say much any better than several entries that don’t say much? Good question…efficiency?
The following are all remixes that I think justify their own existence by being enjoyable even when separated from a dancefloor:
Metronomy – Radio Ladio (Mae Shi Remix)
The Juan Maclean – One Day (James Curd Remix)
Miike Snow – Animal (Crookers Remix)
Red Blooded Women – Enjoy The Silence (Heads We Dance Remix)
John & Jehn – Looking For You (Mighty Mouse NYC Sensations Mix)
