YYYs announce tour
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs continue their publicity blitz (har har) for album #3. They’ve announced an admittedly short tour in support of It’s Blitz, which I assume will be fleshed out with more dates soon (Wisconsin and Missouri but no Southwest dates?). The band will also be hitting key Festival stages, including All Points West and Bonnaroo.
I could copy-and-paste all the critical acclaim the band have been receiving from various media outlets, but anyone who reads the blog knows I hate that. The problem is, I don’t have anything particularly mind-blowing or catchy to say about the album, either (despite thoroughly enjoying it so far). Instead, I’ll simply recount my experience as a DJ this weekend – I played ‘Heads Will Roll’ as my final song of the night, and the 100 or more people that were still in the club all went crazy for it. That really tells you all you need to know, doesn’t it?
