Facelift # 3
Hey! Looks like we’ve had yet another changeup ’round these parts. I know, I know, this has become a pretty common occurrence, but I think I’ve finally found a site layout I can live with. Besides, I was getting sick of rotating headers every week, and I’m sure some of you were too! And what better way to start the week than with a fresh face?
If you’re wondering about the current banner/header, it’s a photo I took last year at Golden Gate Park during the Outside Lands Festival. It’s a fence where everyone parked their bikes. There’s nothing much to it, other than I thought it was an interesting image. I wish there was more of a story there, but that’s pretty much it. :)
I know I just posted about HWD, but Yoni from the band sent along this little remix morsel that I wanted to share with you. I’ve received A LOT of Don Diablo remixes & original tracks in the last few months via my email, but for whatever reason the music wasn’t resonating with me. Maybe it’s because I love HWD so much, but this one is pretty spiffy. It’s very 90s Eurodance and over the top, but it feels like an appropriate match.

I’ve also updated the blogroll while committing to this revamp, and I’m long overdue for passing around some link love to my fellow blogsters. So here’s a brief sampling of what’s happening elsewhere:
Ekko over at Berkeley Place has an interesting cover of Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed A Girl’ by Canadian indie electropopsters The Woodhands. [Berkeley Place]
Linda has some great photos up of her recent Coachella experience. Take a peek and cry that you weren’t there. [Speed of Dark]
Charles tackles the Dollhouse. I’d all but written the show off, but he makes some good points about why I should perhaps give it another chance. [Heartache With Hard Work]
Marilyn at Road 2 Nowhere has the new Armand Van Helden/Dizzee Rascal joint. I played it out when I DJd The Faint/Ladytron afterparty, and the crowd indeed went bonkers. [Road 2 Nowhere]
Jim with QBIM has apparently heard the new Manic Street Preachers, and has declared it good. Head over to hear his thoughts and snatch up a gem from the band’s last record with Richey Edwards, Holy Bible. [Quick Before It Melts]
Ceci has a cool Moscow band called Manicure up on I Am The Crime. When I reviewed the Future Sound Of Russia compilation last year, I mentioned that I’d formed a bad habit of ignoring Russia as a source of music. Yet another reason to break that policy! [I Am The Crime]

Site looks great!
And thanks for the linkage. ;)
The new layout looks great! I’m jealous. :) I wish I had the time and knowledge to revamp my own…
Thanks ladies!
Vic – I really have no idea what I’m doing, I just reverse engineer everything. I created a test site where I can play around with design elements, and that helps a lot. If you need any help adding elements to your theme by all means let me know and I’ll do what I can! :)
Georgeous! And you didn’t say a peep! I really do love it. xoxo
Thanks Miss Tart! I’m just so relieved to have something with the functions I wanted that looks classy. It took me a while to get here!
