New Release Tuesday
This is a particularly good week for new releases! It not only includes what will likely land the top spot on my list for album of the year – Miss Polly Scattergood’s debut – but releases from indie powerhouse John Vanderslice, former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker (let’s face it – Pulp is probably not reuniting at this point), original electroclash duo Miss Kittin & The Hacker as well as the latest slice of psychedelia from The Warlocks.
Really, I cannot overemphasize how good Polly’s debut is. I thought the demos & live performances were great, but hearing the album in completed form is such a wonderful experience. And hey, the other releases out this week ain’t too shabby either! :)
