Nah, not really. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. She makes me feel ishy.

Figures the ‘medium’ is from Arizona, we have a lot of crazies out here! :) I just don’t buy into that stuff, so it doesn’t appeal to me.

You didn’t love her in True Romance? That’s one of my favorite movies. Plus, Medium is based on the life of a real woman in Phoenix, with three girls who are also starting to show signs they are mediums and her husband really is a rocket scientist. I haven’t seen those other two shows you mentioned, but I love Medium, so a big hurrah from me that it’s coming back.

Oh Elhaam, what isn’t wrong with Medium? ;)

It features my least favorite Arquette (yes, I even like David better) for one, and is basically Murder She Wrote but with ghosts. I don’t really know how it’s any different from Ghost Whisperer, other than Jennifer Love Hewitt. Just not my thing, at all.

Yeah, but I guess Medium is probably going to be picked up by CBS. So boo all over again.

I dunno, he never sounds particularly English to me, more of a New England upper crust kind of thing. He really has fun with the role though.

And while I think Anna Torv is pretty, she’s certainly not a typical beauty. I don’t think she comes off as a cliche.

No one has an English accent on Fringe, though. John Noble is Australian, but he does an American accent for the show.

And I know a lot of elements have been done elsewhere (X-Files, Night Stalker, etc.) but it’s all strangely satisfying.

I gave up on Heroes a couple of episodes into season 3. Pretty much very character annoys me.

Fringe is also annoying – oh, an excentric genius (with an English accent!) and his son who’ll only refer to him by his first name because of their strained relationship, and the beautiful female agent with whom they solve strange cases.
