White Lies remixed by M83
Yet another pairing that would never have occurred to me! A little birdy slipped this lovely remix to me, and I’m told it’s so new that this will be its first introduction to the world. You never know what Anthony Gonzalez will do in a remix – sometimes he makes it a little dancey, sometimes he turns it into an ethereal voyage through space and time. He’s gone for the latter with White Lies. The original is a slow burner as well, but he tweaks it just enough to create a mood that’s even creepier and more haunting than the original. Basically, he turns it into an M83 song! This is not a remix for your dance floor, but definitely one for your headphones.
I have no idea if this will get an official release or if it was just a lark, so snatch it up while you can. Who knows how long those ZShare/YSI links might last.
