Time to check in with my fellow Blogsters…

Will over at Anti-Snob has a list of Phoenix-area bands to watch. We do produce more than crappy emo bands ya know! [Anti-Snob]

Head over to Speed of Dark for some great coverage of the New Orleans Jazz Festival which includes a performance by Wilco. [Speed of Dark]

Fellow Sean at Buzzgrinder has the latest video from indie darlings Grizzly Bear. It’s a sort of ‘Black Hole Sun’ for the indie set, though less disturbing and more cherubic. [Buzzgrinder]

Miss Tart dives into the specifics of music taste, and questions the validity of elitism. She also details her own musical upbringing, which in and of itself is worth the click. [Love Shack]

Jim has a review of the new Jarvis joint, Further Complications. He calls it “his most solid and cohesive set of songs since This Is Hardcore“. Read on. [Quick Before It Melts]

Persona Sauna has a WONDERFUL new single from SMD, due to return with their sophomore record Temporary Pleasure on August 17th. Based on this track, August can’t come fast enough. [Persona Sauna]

Ceci has an interesting cover of the Bat For Lashes track ‘Daniel’. It’s by folkie Josh Reichmann, and while he can’t hope to match the original for me, it’s an interesting effort. [I Am The Crime]
