Party in My Head
‘Party In My Head’ was easily the stand out track on Miss Kittin & The Hacker’s latest effort, Two. The whole thing is quite good, actually, but that one grabbed you right out of the gate with it’s eurodisco goodness (no one ever got hurt borrowing a little ABBA).
So it’s not too crazy that they’re setting it up as the next single, obviously. ‘PIMH’ will be released on June 19th in 12-inch and digital format (sorry CD lovers). Remixes of the title track will be produced by Parisian duo Thieves Like Us, a Dutch HiNRG fella named Mr Pauli, and a take by Kiko. Each one brings something to the table, but I’d say Thieves Like Us take the top spot pretty handily. While everyone else takes the track into the standard electro/house territory, TLU slow things down and turn it all into a freaky kind of Parliament/Funkadelic feel-good funk out.
