New Moby streaming on NPR today
If you’re a Moby fan, you might want to head over to NPR today. They’re offering a free full album stream of his latest effort, Wait For Me, due out in stores on June 30th. In fact, Bob Boilen with NPR says this is Moby’s best album in 10 years. Not sure if I totally agree with that, but what I’ve heard is indeed promising.
The next single, ‘Pale Horses’, is due out one week from today and features remixes by Gui Boratto, Apparat, Ben Hoo and Jason Bentley. The track is definitely vintage Moby with those warm synth lines and raspy female vocals. The vocalist is apparently a friend of Moby’s named Amelia, but beyond that we don’t know too much about her. The video features some cute animation – in fact, it’s downright cheery – that provides an interesting contrast with the song’s rather somber tone.
