KCRW Updates
KCRW are one of the few remaining radio stations that actually tout music outside the strictly profitable realms of pop & hip-hop, so any time they send out an announcement I’m usually more than happy to spread the word. You have to support the things you love, or else you’ll lose them (that works for things beside radio stations too, FYI).
First off, the KCRW DJs have gone ahead and summed up the first half of 2009 in their personal Top 10 lists. They’ve also updated their archives to include recent performances by BIYL favorites such as Metric, A Camp, Band of Skulls, Loney Dear and the ultimate in awesome, The Church! Check them all out on a nifty player here.
The station is running a special guest DJ program, and famed director of oddities David Lynch stopped by to record a DJ session. You can check that out here.

Oh wow – William Orbit. Haven’t heard from him in years! I see he’s doing a second Pieces In A Modern Style album – that must be what’s up.
