Division Day ‘Visitation’
Division Day – performers of the best Depeche Mode cover, ever – are returning this August with their sophomore album, Visitation. It will be released on Dangerbird Records on August 18th. The interesting story there is that the band were formerly part of Eenie Meenie’s roster (home to BIYL favorites Great Northern), but an apparent falling out with the label led to the band signing up with Dangerbird Records (also home to many BIYL favorites such as The Dears, Darker My Love and Sea Wolf). What led to that falling out is anyone’s guess.
Label politics aside, I’m really looking forward to this! Beartrap Island was a lovely, dark, romantic album, and I can only imagine what the band have in store for us this time around. They’ll also be heading out on tour in support of the new record, though no Arizona dates are scheduled.
