Band of Skulls Live
I hate to waive my ‘I totally liked this before they were popular’ card, but I have it in hand and just can’t seem to resist. Oh sure, I only hopped onto the Band of Skulls train back in June, but there were a lot more empty seats back then. Now, the whole car’s full and it’s a real party!
The band is coming off a very successful US tour (including dates with Spinnerette) and a whole lot of blogospheric lovin’. They’ve recently recorded this live performance of ‘Fires’, which provides the inspiration for the name of their debut, Baby Darling Dollface Honey. And tell me if I’m crazy for thinking this sounds something like Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘The Last Song’?
