Radiohead @ Outside Lands
I will not be attending this year’s Outside Lands Festival in the lovely city of San Francisco. The reasons are twofold: I’d rather visit when I can spend 100% of the time with my dearest friend who happens to be a resident of the city, and the fact that this year’s headliners really do suck. Incubus? Pearl Jam? Tenacious D? Dave Matthews? Is it 2009 or 1999? Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse than Jack Johnson last year, they go and prove me wrong. We get the idea folks, no need to drive the point home any farther. I get diversity, but what on earth is Tom Jones doing there? Perplexing.
But enough griping. Thinking about the fest had me flashing back to last year’s brilliant Radiohead appearance, and how unique and special it was to see them in Golden Gate Park that night. How EPIC. So in honor of that evening as well as this weekend’s festivities (which I’m sure will be thoroughly entertaining despite my snap judgments), here’s a collection of YouTube videos of many of the highlights of that performance.
