We’re happy here, in the happy house
When I first caught wind of this single, I thought it would be a Siouxsie & The Banshees cover, which got me quite excited because while I’m normally pretty cautious of covers, the thought of John Maclean taking on ‘Happy House’ seemed totally brilliant. Much to my surprise (and mild disappointment), it was not to be. ‘Happy House’ is just another in a long line of totally awesome Juan Maclean singles. And hey, that’s nothing to sneeze at, I was just excited to hear what the combination of The Juan Maclean and Siouxsie Sioux would sound like. One day, perhaps.
In the meantime, enjoy this very cool song featuring Nancy Whang, who is probably best known for her vocals on Soulwax’s ‘E-Talking (Nite Version)’. Well, her talking. She’s not really singing on the Soulwax track, is she?
