‘Round the Blogoverse
I have been so busy lately I’ve neglected my weekly blog roundups! For shame, Sean!
Linda over at Speed Of Dark has hit something of a blogging wall lately, so pay her a visit and offer some words of encouragement! It’s a blog I’d hate to lose. While there, do check out a few mp3s from San Francisco’s Identical Homes – it’s good stuff! [Speed Of Dark]
Merz over at Mars Needs Guitars has recently completed his Best of 90s Britpop series. If you feel like getting nostalgic (or were too young to catch it the first time) head on over and feast on the extensive collection. [Mars Needs Guitars]
My buddy Keath at Future Rocket Soul has a video up from a band called Avon Junkies. It’s a sort of indie neo-swing noir. Like Ennio Morricone playing with Cherry Poppin’ Daddies with Mark Morriss from the Bluetones on vocals. You have to listen to get the full effect. [Future Rocket Soul]
Sandy from Slowcoustic has some great tunes up from Mojave, a band I’ve never really known how to classify. I just call it good music. [Slowcoustic]
Vic at Muruch has some mp3s up from a band called The Opposite Sex. They seem like a cross between The Horrors, Siouxsie and The Banshees and Bauhaus. And I think they knicked a Damned melody for their song ‘Frozen Heart Frozen Mind’. [Muruch]
Lee over at Knox Road has the latest and greatest from The Postmarks (a band I love love love). Snatch them up! [Knox Road]

Thanks for the link. I like a lot of the new indie bands (War Tapes, White Lies, The Opposite Sex) are going back to that ’80s goth club sound.
Thanks for the link, but that would be Jamie from Knox Road!
Doh! Sorry Jamie, I only knew of Lee and didn’t realize you had multiple writers over there!
I agree, Vic. I love that stuff.
Hey Sean,
Thanks so much for the support and the link! It makes me feel really good.
L.
No problem Linda, meant every word of it!
