Dragonette – Pick Up The Phone
Bands like Dragonette are not – I repeat, not – trying to blow your mind. They aren’t trying to expand your horizons. They certainly aren’t attempting to change your ideas about music. They simply want you to have fun, right here, right now. They’re ready made for remixes because ultimately, they just want you to dance. It’s trashy, disposable pop of the highest order, and for the 3 minutes it’s on it’s like eating a peanut butter Twix.
