Love on an Oil Rig
This peculiar foursome have periodically popped up on my radar throughout the year, and I believe I noted previously on the blog that I quite liked this video for ‘Parrot’. Not only am I reminded of the infamous Monty Python Parrot Sketch, but the video effectively demonstrates something I’ve known for quite a while – parrots are rather nasty little bastards. They’ll eat your fingers if you aren’t careful! So I think the video works both as an interesting musical style (sort of a creepier version of Young Knives) and as a much needed Parrot P.S.A.
The Victorian English Gentlemans Club (no apostrophes, please) released their sophomore album – Love On An Oil Right – today in the UK. You can find a copy here and here.
