The Temper Trap-Live NAC 18/09/09
Lucky for me the wonderful Temper Trap’s opening night of their sellout UK tour happened to be in my home city. Wow, wow, wow what a gig, with at times four guitars keys and fantastic drums. We were treated to what I think was every track from the debut album all my senses were blown away. At times during tracks like ‘Sweet Disposition’ it was as if the whole auditorium was as one with the band. I truly have not seen a band get a better reaction at the venue. The Art Centre crowd are discerning music types but last night even the most cynical could not fail to be blown away.

I really am not waxing lyrical when I say that lead singer Dougy stretches every sinew to deliver a perfect vocal. They create an infectious buzz of a band who seem to be really glad to be able to entertain. The album as good as it is does not do them justice as the wall of sound they create is all encompassing. It’s a rare feeling for me to come away from a gig feeling I have witnessed a band that has potential to fill stadiums, but last night I did!!!! A few thank yous are in order, first of all to Angela Downes from Western Australia who turned me onto the band, Kate from Charm for the listing and Pauline for photos. In one word – awesome! Catch them if you can before they fill those stadiums!!!

One Guitar and some reverb as a perfect night came to a close!!!!!
