Now THIS is how you do a remix. Leave it to an expert like Richard X to show the new kids how it’s done. I described Dragonette’s ‘Pick Up The Phone’ as a sort of sugar overload, a ‘You got peanut butter in my chocolate!’, ‘No, you got your chocolate in my peanut butter!’ kind of a moment. Richard X takes it and gives it a little twirl in his musical blender, and now we’re treated to dancefloor ecstasy. This is 1 AM euphoria. I immediately pictured everyone dancing in slow motion, bathed in disco lights. But that might just be me.
