Introducing Young Rebel Set
There is nothing new about this seven piece from Stockton-On-Tees, indeed in many ways I feel that I probably should not like them!!! You may ask why then am I writing this article despite my reservations, but something has been drawing me back to them. The second single ‘Walk On’ is released on November 30th through the band’s own label (Our Broadcast).
Although the lead track has that typical landfill Indie feel with obligatory sing backchorus that should secure airplay. In these cut throat days I cant knock them for that. Scratch beneath the surface though, and you find a gem in “Borders” with more than a touch of Springsteen lurking. Checking them on Myspace further reinforced my opinion that they are well worth keeping an eye on. The band are currently on tour check Myspace for details.
