The Drums – I Felt Stupid

Despite the onset of the long winter nights I have been drawn to the summer sounds of Brooklyn’s The Drums. There is both a 50’s surf rock and 80’s electronica feel to the sound. It’s light and fluffy but I kinda like the bubblegum-pop feel to it!!!!
I hope that the debut album contains lot’s of gems like ‘Down By The Water’. The band release the second single through the influential Moshi Moshi Records, also responsible for launching the likes of Hot Chip, Florence, Friendly Fires, Kate Nash and Late Of The Pier. Entitled I Feel Stupid it drops December 7th. I expect this band to feature on many lists of bands to watch in 2010. I’m looking forward to catching them live early next year when they return to the UK!!!
