Sad Day For puppets – When You Tell Me That You Love Me
I’m well known for my love of the Swedish Indie scene, especially those outfits that feature their trademark female vocals. Sad Day For Puppets tick all the boxes!!! This reworking of two tracks from their debut album Unknown Colours shows a more rock approach. Sonic Cathedral have unearthed a real gem in this band.

We get the usual Jesus and Mary Chain comparisons when I read up on what the so-called ’switched on’ press have to say. Personally I feel there are those comparisons, but you should not pigeonhole good music. This is shoegaze at it’s best for me; the Thames Valley kids of 1989 had one eye on the charts. Dig beneath the exterior and there is something special happening here. It’s maybe not music for the masses, though I think it is music for the educated – which I’m guessing you all are. To be honest even if no one else gets this band I’m going to continue to plug them!!!! The single drops November 16th (Sonic Cathedral) when you can also catch them live @ Londons Borderline

You're really posting some brilliant stuff, Mark. Where have you been hiding all these bands??
