The xx acoustic on Viva Radio

I’m sure someone somewhere has pointed it out, but it’s really astounding how much Romy looks like Robert Smith here. And no, I don’t mean that in an unpleasant or unflattering way. I’m not talking about late-period Joan Crawford Robert Smith, I’m talking about early 80s Robert Smith when he was actually a quite lovely girl. So a nicer way to put this might be to say Romy could easily be Robert’s long-lost daughter. There, that’s better.
The xx (and I keep forgetting the xs should be lower case, but it somehow doesn’t look right whenever I type it) recently taped an acoustic session for Viva Radio, the Brooklyn-based musical arm of American Apparel. Don’t worry, the performance is tights and nudity free.
