Let me set the scene: a sell out crowd in a converted church eagerly anticipating the entrance of tonight’s headliners. Then at 22.15, The Joy Formidable take to the stage and storm through a non-stop action-packed set. It was just the best form I have seen the band! Top of the bill suits them. Tonight there was no playing second fiddle – the amps were cranked up to the max and the crowd jumped, sang ,clapped and demanded. They stretched every sinew. Boy did they deliver!
