The Future Is For Relaxation

Keeping-It-Chill[via]

Those of you who regularly visit my other home on the internet (as opposed to those who simply know me through this site or their feed reader) might have noticed the constantly changing design the past few days. In fact, at select times you could have kept hitting Refresh and been treated to a cornucopia of different color schemas. The internet has enabled us all to be interior decorators for our little corner of the web.

I think the renovations are done (short term, at least) with the current minimalist yet futuristic look. I’m particularly fond of the blue font scattered throughout, which gives it a chill feel. This was pure luck – I didn’t realize the theme I’m using had that shade in it. To celebrate this fortuitous aesthetic turn, let’s take a moment for some relaxing tunes.

Tycho

A slightly extended track by Tycho, this one is beautiful echoing synths and upbeat drum loops. A perfect way to get ready for Friday’s mishmash of work and social responsibilities.

Stricken City

This extended remix of Stricken City is like floating underwater in a calm pool, looking up at the sky diffused through the water, seeing how long you can hold your breath because it’s just so peaceful under there. What’s so enticing about this track is how all the individual components blend together so well you can’t pick one piece out for special notice. It all exists interdependently. Well done, indeed!

Meredith Meyer

I love the overall feel of this Meredith Meyer song. The chord changes, the drums, the piano fills between verses – it’s all just a big beautiful blanket wrapping around you. Since we’re having another rainy day in Tampa, I can’t ask for anything more. The future is even better already.
