BIYL Exclusive: Cosmo Jarvis ‘Crazy Screwed Up Lady’
Following my recent post on Cosmo Jarvis the blogging world went crazy! In a matter of days we had over 5000 downloads from BIYL of ‘She’s Got You’. For me it’s a real honour that Cosmo is giving us the world exclusive of his new single, ‘Crazy Screwed up Lady’. I believe it’s going to be a full week before this airs anywhere else!
‘Crazy Screwed Up Lady’ drops on March 14thon Wall of Sound Records. Taken from his recently released 18 tracker album titled ‘Humasyouhitch / Sonofabitch’ the single will feature a Cenzo Townsend (Florence & the Machine / Editors / Franz Ferdinand) radio mix plus an exclusive new track, ‘Blame it on me’.
I am so enthused by the music of this guy, it totally energises me, artists like Cosmo are the reason I sit behind this keyboard and trawl through promo after promo. This guy is one of the ones that the BBC sound of 2010 let slip through the net – by the end of the year this guy will be huge. He has everything as I have mentioned before, lyrically genius yet on the flipside he can deliver a slice of intelligent pop. As well as touring as main support through Feb to The Sunshine Underground, Cosmo will perform at Relentless Garage in London on Feb 11th as part of HMV’s Next Big Thing campaign and is also confirmed for this years SXSW. If that was not enough, Cosmo also entered the influential Hype Machine chart at number 2 for last week with debut single ‘She’s Got You’!
