Groove Armada – Paper Romance

How long have Groove Armada been this good and why didn’t you let me know? I remember checking them out in the late 90’s and it was all pretty chilled out stuff. Now they’ve gone all Filthy Dukes/SMD. And it suits them! The video is nothing new, just a wild night out a la ‘Ulysses’ or ‘This Rhythm’ or ‘E Talking’, but the song is pretty great. Perfect 2:00 AM dancefloor fodder. The vocals are by a band called Fenech-Soler, though I’d say this tune ends up considerably better than their original material.
