BBC Madia Vale Specials
So earlier in the week we had Visage and now Heaven 17. How eighties am I going? This is totally brilliant though, Elly delivers a vocal that is very nearly as stunning as Carol Kenyon’s original!
After delving a little deeper I found that Carol provided vocals for such diverse projects as Malcom Mclaren’s ‘Madame Butterfly’ through to Pink Floyd’s The Division bell and Pet Shop Boys Behaviour. Sometimes it’s strange, the tangents that a simple short post can take you off on!
If that was not enough there is also a wonderful collaboration between Gary Numan and Little Boots.

Gary Numan is a total legend in my eyes and this version of ‘Venus In Furs’ is totally awesome! The day I met and interviewed him is the highlight of my blogging musical journey so far. These sessions also include behind-the-scenes footage, which you can view in full from 29th January. Snippets are also available via the link below!
