I talked about missing The Temper Trap train a month or so ago when I finally caught 500 Days of Summer on DVD. I’ve since had a chance to catch up, and ended up really enjoying their debut Conditions. In related news, you can also chew on this remix that Alan Wilkis forwarded on to me. I wasn’t sure about it at first, it sort of made me think of Frankie Valli singing over some Afrika Bambaataa beats with Kraftwerk sitting behind the mixing desk. Then I thought about what a cool collaboration that would actually be, and gave it a few more listens. I can’t say I like it more than the original – it’s just too good – but I think this is a pretty interesting alternate take.
