Communion – The Compilation Album
Communion, the London-based musician/fan collective responsible for some of the most talked about club nights in London, Leeds and Brighton, are to spread their wings in early 2010 with the release of a unique compilation featuring a host of previously unrecorded songs and exclusive one-off collaborations.
‘Communion: The Compilation’ will be released on the 1st March 2010 and features unheard tracks from the likes of Johnny Flynn, Mumford & Sons, Peggy Sue, Alessi’s Ark, Jeremy Warmsley, Alan Pownall, Matthew & The Atlas and many more. The Record label/Club night of Ben Lovett from Mumford & Sons and Kevin Jones from Cherbourg goes from strength to strength. This album really is fabulous if you want an introduction to contemporary folk/singer songwriters, it introduced me to some artists I need to find out more about. This is 21 tracks of pure gold! I hope it sells by the bucketload and propels all the artists to international stardom.

it’s a terribly good album isn’t it? Makes Monsters Of Folk look & sound like Status Quo
in response yes it is a fantastic album I’m totally in love with it. there is such a range of artists on there. As a recent convert to this genre over the last couple of years it really is a great reference point for all that is good in contemporary folk/singer songwriters
Hey, you should check out Mumford & Sons’ record “Sigh No More”. You might be into them. Watch their performance on Letterman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REPctGLpWqk&feature=player_embedded
