M.I.A. Announces Release Date for New Album

Have you seen the blimp? Yes, a blimp! It was spotted over Coachella during Jay-Z’s performance on April 16th advertising M.I.A.’s upcoming appearances at the HARD Music Festival in Los Angeles and New York, as well as the proposed release date for her new album (which is still apparently untitled) on June 29th.

There’s also word that M.I.A. might drop a viral video for the new track “Born Free” sometime this week, which is super exciting! Until then here is a (rough) video of M.I.A. performing “Born Free” live at Street Scene 09:
