Mark’s Top Twenty Albums of 2010. 10-1
After much consideration I have managed to put the top ten long-players that have rocked my world the most this year in list form. I’m going to get it written up before I decide to fine tune it any more!
Where I have reviewed an album on the site I have included a link for your convenience. The one thing that surprised me compiling this list is that some of the records I waxed so lyrical about have ended up lower down the pile than I imagined. A couple in my top ten I have not even reviewed, not sure how that happened to be honest. Having looked over some of the cool sites lists, I don’t think I will be entering the ranks of coolness this year or anytime soon. Why I enjoy writing for Battery is the fact that we are sponsor-free and therefore have no constraints on content. So here goes with my list and please do enjoy:

I’m kind of glad I have finished that. Despite many artists moving me this year, the albums that have made my top five have spent the most time on my playlist.
I’m sure that for some people Lissie is no longer considered cool, and yes there are one or two tracks of a more commercial nature on her album. However, having met her and listened to the passion in her voice whilst talking about her music, I believe that Lissie will continue to make the kind of music she wants for a long time to come.
Both Sweet Jane and Dylan Le Blanc have made quality records from start to finish, and I admit to being tempted into making Sugar For My Soul album of the year. I must also mention Danny and the Champ’s, as it is not often an album from January makes it all the way into my top 5 albums in December!
