The Joy Formidable on Conan
BIYL’s favorite band appeared on the Conan O’Brien show last night. The appearance was a big hit, with Conan calling it ‘madness!’, and his website declaring that the band ‘literally destroy[ed] the stage with rock!’. They performed ‘Whirring’, and while it wasn’t quite the 7-minute opus of the album, they did manage to jam out with an extended coda. Worth watching just for the reaction to Rhydian’s kick drum headstand!
I also wanted to take a moment to say how proud we are of the band, and how pleased we are to see how far they’ve come in such a short period of time. It feels like only yesterday that ‘Austere’ hit our inboxes, after all! We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in the future.
